Started
to strip the bike down as I'm going to keep all the Motorcycle
City bodywork and tank (as I've got a potential buyer after
I've finished with it), I was swaying that way anyway. Hope
I don't jump off it too often this year.
I also
ordered another set of wheels, discs and another petrol tank,
from G.P.Motorcycles which is all going to be sprayed white
as I'm going to keep my colours from last year, but I must
confess, thinking of what colours to have was a pain, but
white is easy to repair (forward planning) and looks good
if kept clean......
As I didn't
get any spares with the bike, I got spare levers, sprockets,
clip on bars, filters, o ring chain, etc. from Richard Hocking
at Bikestuff.........0797 6692594......and getting spare rearsets
manufactured by Joe at J.W.Welding Ltd...... 07624 496314.
All hopefully will go unused, but you've got to have them.
When the
Fairings arrived........they were a right twat to fit.....as
the bike has a HRC big rad and works exhaust, and obviously
the standard fairings were not meant to accomodate them........but
after a lot of sawing, effing and blinding....they fit like
a glove.
Got measured
up for a new race suit at Celtic Leathers (Sam 817513), and
I have to say a major thanks to Sean Beattie at S.Beattie
Decorators (Tel 07624 498389), for sponsoring them....I'm
going to look like a new pin at the start of the season, but
it probably won't be long before I christen them (i.e. fall
off).
Started
to join a few clubs.......... The ACU, New ERA, BMCRC, Andreas
and EMRA so far, and also started filling in entry forms,
as my first meeting is on March 4th at Mallory Park, good
job I've got a set of wets!
