Tipped up in the paddock, early doors, and it was pissing
down………… the Awning roof was nearly caving in with the
amount of water that was sagging in the canvas, managed
to get it all off then when Juan tipped up it was down
town to get some wood to fashion the roof so it wouldn’t
happen again……… That Kinnish fella can turn his hand
to anything.
Did
a spot of fettling and got one of the bikes through
scrutineering and the other one on Robbie Silvester’s
(Of VRS Performance) dyno to try and get the midrange
sorted…… and on the dyno graph he’s made a good improvement,
all there is left to do is go out and try it…… it should
be loads better.
Went
for a lap in the car with Ryan Farquhar and a newcomer
he’s helping, Andrew Neil, and the weather was really
shite I have to say…… Talking of shite, the road was
closed from Ballig Bridge to the Cronky-Y-Voddy straight,
because the sewer had blocked up and there was shit
all over the road…… nice!………… went down the Starvey
Road and rejoined at the end of the Cronky and continued
the lap………… It wasn’t too bad in some places but up
on the Mountain it was desperate…… visibility was down
to 40-50 yards and it was chucking it down…… we knew
then that it would be cancelled………… they couldn’t run
it in these conditions……… and if they did, I wasn’t
going to go out in it…… not gonna learn anything, probably
just end up scaring yourself.
Got
back to the paddock…… the bikes had gone through scrutineering,
just in case, but after a couple of delays over the
tannoy, they called it……………… and the whole session was
cancelled…… Oh well……… Hope the weather improves, but
the forecast is crap the rest of the week too…………… bollocks………
Bit of a wasted day really.
So,
tune in for hopefully, a more exciting episode………
